From Day to Night

By Natalie Naccarato

There's always something to do in the city. If you're in Toronto this weekend perhaps you're planning to take in a documentary at the Hot Docs Festival. Or maybe you've decided to check out the Toronto Freedom Festival. Either way LUXaholic has the right outfit for you! Every fashionista knows it's best to invest in pieces they will get multiple uses out of. Take for example the Linen Boyfriend Shorts by Guess available on www.LUXaholic.ca:

Linen is a perennial favourite and can be dressed up or down. They're a great addition to your wardrobe as a spring/summer alternative to tailored pants. These shorts will effortlessly take you from the Freedom Festival in the day to a documentary screening at night.

Festival Hottie:
Pair the shorts with a boho inspired top, simple accessories, and your favourite flats for the perfect laid back look.

Film Geek Chic:
You'll want to look more polished for an evening movie screening. An easy way to dress up any look is to top it off with a blazer and add heels. Replace the boho top from the Festival look with a cute patterned tank, add a simple necklace like the Snake-O necklace below, grab a cute clutch in a statement colour and you're ready to go explore the city!

Everything available on www.LUXaholic.ca
Have a fab weekend everyone!

Style Comparison

By Natalie Naccarato

As we patiently await soaring summer temperatures we can’t help but get a head start on warm weather style by sporting florals. Flower prints are huge this season, and LUXaholic has you covered! As soon as we spotted Jessica Alba’s perfect casual look we were inspired!

We love the Jonica Dress by BB Dakota that LUXaholic carries, it's the perfect alternative to Jessica Alba's.

Since it’s not as warm outside as we would like, cover your arms just like Jessica has with a cute blazer like this one by BB Dakota. The ruching details on the sleeves add the perfect feminine touch to match your dress while not going girly overboard!

Pair with Flash Dance sandals by Naughty Monkey for the perfect summer casual look....now all you need is the summer sunshine!

Seeing Stripes!

By Natalie Naccarato

Stripes are always in fashion and will forever be associated with effortless parisienne style, but they made an especially strong statement on the Spring RTW 2010 runways. Designers ranging from Sonia Rykiel to Tommy Hilfiger seemed enamored with the popular pattern. Stripes popped up on dresses, blazers, tops, skirts, swim suits, and accessories.

Emporio Armani Spring 2010

They have us seeing stripes and we love it!

Our favourite LUXaholic piece taking on the pattern?

The Sweet Innocence Dress:

This pretty little number will easily take you from a walk on the boardwalk to drinks on a patio to a night out dancing!

For a more understated approach to the trend try the BB Dakota Parker Blazer for it’s chic and subtle striped lining on the rolled cuffs:

If you want to get in line with this fun and chic trend then check out the variety of stripey styles http://luxaholic.ca/ is currently carrying!
