The 2010 Council of Fashion Designers of America Fashion Awards were held Monday night at the Lincoln Center in NYC. The awards recognize outstanding contributions made to American fashion by individuals in womenswear, menswear, accessories, and journalism. Our favourite part?? The always delicious fashion eye candy of course!
LUXaholic has decided that instead of just recapping the night's fashion, we will showcase one award winner per day for the remainder of the week and show some of their collections (Spring 2010 and Fall 2010) for which they won.
The sought after prize of the night is always the Womenswear Award, which was presented to Marc Jacobs this year. Here he is posing with his statuette and presenter Jessica Biel (wearing DVF):
Here are some CFDA attendees wearing Marc Jacobs:

Now for a sampling of Marc Jacobs successful work in 2010...
With his 2010 collections Marc Jacobs made it clear that he was moving towards a ladylike aesthetic. He brought a lot of texture and volume. If you take away anything from his work in 2010 Marc would want it to be: dress individually for yourself, and stop wearing all that black!
